Tahoe-Truckee – Other Areas

The following map shows and overview of Tahoe-Truckee

“They” aren’t building another Lake Tahoe or Sierra Nevada Mountain range.  The Tahoe Region is the key destination for Northern California, and more frequently now, Southern California, Arizona and Nevada residents seeking vacation and retirement property.

Prices hit a low in 2011 and, as Northern California prices have rebounded, it is drawing Tahoe Area prices up as well.

New development plans abound, and typically are high end.  The expectation is that prices will continue on a fairly steep upward trajectory as the population who comes to the area increases both in size and in age.

Truckee’s been named “Most Well Rounded” of the Top 10 Ski Towns in the West by Sunset Magazine, made the list in National Geographic’s World’s 25 Best Ski Towns and noted by Travel and Leisure magazine as one of the Best Ski Towns.

To name just a few of our spectacular outdoor opportunities: snowboarding, alpine and Nordic skiing, ice skating, snowshowing i paddle boarding, swimming, waterskiing, hiking, mountain biking, golf and horseback riding, boating, fishing and even scuba diving.
